BUDDHIST ACTION TO FEED THE HUNGRY

The work of Buddhist Global Relief is made possible by the contributions of our volunteers and donors who generously offer their time and funds to support our efforts to feed the hungry, to empower women and girls, to educate children in need, and to cultivate sustainable agriculture.

The Buddhist Actions to Feed the Hungry include worldwide online Dharma events; our annual Walks to Feed the Hungry; and any number of other fundraising activities organized by BGR and members of our global community.

We welcome your participation in all of our events and invite you to join us in fundraising to help those most in need.

Here are some of the ways that you can put your compassion into action in support of BGR and those whom we serve:

  • Host a benefit at your sangha or meditation center, such as a day of mindfulness, a chant-in, a retreat, or other special event, to raise funds and share information about the work of BGR. We can assist you with brochures/annual reports and general guidance on holding the event.
  • Become a peer-to-peer fundraiser for our Buddhist Action to Feed the Hungry events, held each fall. Any events that are happening now will be linked on our home page, buddhistglobalrelief.org.
  • Use your social media accounts to share the message of BGR and to raise funds for BGR.
  • Host a food drive for your local food pantry or raise funds for a hunger relief organization in your local area.
  • To volunteer with BGR, visit our volunteer page.
  • To contact a member of our staff, please reach out via our contact page.
