Seventh Annual Concert to Feed the Hungry

By BGR Staff

On April 29th, 2018, BGR’s seventh Concert to Feed The Hungry took place, immediately following the tenth anniversary celebration. The concert, held at the St. Mark’s Church In-the-Bowery, was produced by BGR board member Daniel Blake and featured an exciting, diverse lineup of musicians. Performers included the Candombe drum band from Uruguay; award-winning vocalist Kavita Shah, accompanied by Dan Blake on tenor and soprano sax; Chilean singer and guitarist Camila Meza, accompanied by Or Bareket on bass; the amazing St. Mark’s Choir; and a fascinating performance of mask dances from Bhutan, by the Bhutanese dancer Khandu!

Photos are worth more than words, so here is an array of photos from the concert.

All photos are by Ven. Bhikkhuni Wulin (Paññānandī) of Chuang Yen Monastery.
