Spring 2019 Walks to Feed the Hungry

Kim Behan and Carla Prater

The Walks to Feed the Hungry are Buddhist Global Relief’s main fundraising events, usually held in the fall. This year, in addition to the fall walks, we will have three walks in the springtime.

The first will be held in San Jose on March 30 and Ayya Santussika, Sylvia Gomes, and Jim Nelson will be the walk organizers. Next up is a walk in Hampshire in the UK, to take place on May 4, led by Geoff Hunt of the New Buddha Way. The San Diego Walk is on June 16, hosted by the Buddhist Temple of San Diego's Sangha Teens and Jr. Young Buddhists Association with Sharon Sasaki as the walk organizer. You can sign up for these walks on our website at www.buddhistglobalrelief.org.

Our Projects

BGR projects are designed to provide direct food aid to people afflicted by hunger and malnutrition, to promote ecologically sustainable agriculture, to support the education of girls and women, and to give women an opportunity to start right livelihood projects to support their families. This is a selection of nine of our current 29 projects. Please select "Current Projects" from the menu on the left to see them all.
